Follow My Adventures
Our first expedition was in Clarens, Drakensberg. We had such a marvelous time. Basically we went away to get to know one another and also be orientated in the flow of things as MiXchangers. We camped at a wedding venue and it was beautiful. We spent time cycling or watching others cycle, we had times when we could swim, we had wonderful meals and we had many spiritual encounters whenever Pastor John and Sharon shared the Word with us. We even went on a hike one day and we spent some time in the little town of Clarens. This trip was the first great experience of many.
Our second expedition was to the Sun City Ultra Triathlon. Wow, this one was hectic. Within three days we set up camp for 50 people twice. That means, tents up, sleep, tents down, new campsite, tents up again, sleep, tents down. We did it, by the grace of God, we did it without any hiccups. Some of us participated in the Race to the Sun, and others participated in the Sun City Ultra Triathlon. I was in a relay team with my two sisters for the Triathlon. It was a very exciting trip, we had great fun within a short amount of time. When I got home I was TIRED. But I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Well, this was our third expedition. By this trip we had a good flow of things. This was during winter and Pastor John was kind enough to not let us camp in the winter but have us lodge in a room with bunk beds. Boy, were we thankful for that! We went to Dullstroom and I had the privilege of watching others cycle and climb out hill, after hill, after hill. I even had the opportunity to improve my 4×4 skills at one point. Spiritually Pastor John imparted some big things to us. We basically ate, cycled, ate again, had a session, ate again and went to bed. All good fun and all such a blessing to be a part of!
