HIGHLIGHTS
Going into this trip I had great expectations regarding the encounters I would have with God and with my blood-bought family. Between prepping meals and going on long rides on the bikes (myself in the car), I had multiple blessed conversations. But the moment that stood out to me most was when I had the privilege of sitting next to Pastor John at the camp fire, talking about his life and just sharing in some wonderful time of fellowship. I look at that moment as not only a memory but as a big rock moment. I am honoured to be able to serve alongside this man of God and to see him living the Word.
Throughout the rest of the trip we had great laughs and another wonderful moment was when we stopped to have lunch at the quarry, and almost everyone who was cycling decided to dive in, in the middle of Winter. What is so great about these moments is that even though we serve God and are spirit beings first, God made man with a soul and body too, and enjoying one another in these moments is part of the fun of being in the blood-bought family. Lastly, I would say that the sessions we had with Pastor John were ‘the bomb’. Just the anointing on his words and the truth touched me greatly, and I am forever changed because of it. The Word of God truly has the power to change. I am very grateful for trips like these where we can fellowship with one another and encounter God without interruption or distraction. It is truly a gift from God.
