MY FAMILY & GOD'S HAND IN IT...

This is a very long story but it is a glory story!

My parents were introduced when they were in their early twenties. Within a few weeks they knew that this was the partner God had in store for them and on my mom’s 21st birthday my dad proposed. Fast forward a few years they were married and had their first daughter, Sunelle. During this time one of my dad’s close friends blessed him with his very dear and precious Kenneth Copeland tapes. These tapes had teachings about faith which literally changed my parentsĀ  lives and the future of their children. Within four years they had four daughters of which I am the youngest. I was born in Secunda and I grew up there. For as long as I can remember God was a part of my life. My parents were always on the same page when it came to spiritual matters which I know is vital for children growing up. I am very grateful to have grown up in a home full of love and full of the Word of God. Thanks to those tapes we grew up with faith principles, knowing that God was a good God, that He was our provider and our healer. We also grew up knowing the power of words and the power of love.

We have always been a very close family and I 100% believe that it was because of the Word of God in ours lives. Of course no family is perfect in fact we were far from it. When we left our childhood church we did church hopping for about 10 years. This we now know to be lawless but this is where the good part comes in. With four daughters through high school and university God had other plans for us. By God’s wonderful plans my eldest sister, Sunelle was looking to join a bible school (a Word of faith bible school). She looked for quite some time and finally stumbled upon Heritage of Faith Bible Institute. They then started up a campus in Secunda but after a year God needed us to come to Witbank. Not just Witbank but Heritage of Faith in Witbank.

So by the beginning of 2021 Pastor John invited our family for a meeting with him and the other pastors. This was quite an extensive meeting, with us telling the pastors about our family and about our lives. By the end of the meeting Pastor John had invited Sunelle specifically to join the MiXchange programme and he invited our family to join the ministry with the condition that we left our current church with a blessing. We were so ready to find our place. Our church hopping days were due to a great hunger and a great desire for God, and then God planted us where we belonged afterall. So after that meeting my dad resigned from his job, my mom closed her business, I packed my bags at the university, we put our house on the market and by November 2021 we lived in Witbank. We left Secunda, the only town I knew for the place where God needed us to be.

Now we are living here, and we are only going from glory to glory, and faith to faith. My parents are serving in the ministry, Belinda and Johan (married) are seeking God for His plans, and Sunelle, Melissa and I are in the MiXchange giving our all to God, finding His plan and living the dream! Praise the Lord! He always knew this family could not and should not be separated and now we can walk alongside one another on assignment with God. Our family expanded more than we could ever dream with our blood-bought family. For that we are so grateful. All glory to God! He is, was and always will be a relational and loving God!
