MONEY WITH A MISSION

HIGHLIGHT

Something Pastor John said during this weekend really ministered to me and stood out very clearly. He said: Your confession is just making sure that you stay on course, with what God has already spoken, and that your mind and your words don’t counteract what God’s Word is already doing. Because the fruitfulness and the capacity is in the Word. This just reminded me that I am speaking God’s Word to create the capacity within me to receive what God has already given to me.

HOW HAS MY MINDSET CHANGED REGARDING FINANCES?

I wouldn’t say that my mindset has changed drastically but I was just reminded and had some slack jerked out of me regarding money. I am just on a new level with knowing that God is my Source and realising the importance and the protection behind tithing and terumah (first fruits). I was also reminded once again that it’s not my money but God’s, He can tell me what to do with it at any time.

Some personal words God spoke to me were:

  1. Farmers store their harvest only for a time before it starts to die. My money should work like that. The barn has a flow and it will begin to rot if you store it for too long. 
  2. The pattern we see from Jesus’ life is not to have comfort. He had to believe God every day for finances, and God always provided.
  3. God will give me 100-fold what I have given up to follow Him.
