My Work, My Worship

Colossians 3:23 – Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Here at MiXchange this principle is something big I have learned. It’s not about what you do but about who you become in your doing. Whether you scrub toilets or pack chairs or preach at the pulpit, if you do it as unto the Lord you will have your reward from God. We need to be faithful in the little things so we can move to the big things God has for us. We don’t despise small beginnings, infact we embrace it.

We are in God’s army and we have enrolled to serve no matter the conditions. Serving requires a daily choice and a checking of your heart which teaches you not let your circumstance dictate how you behave but you dictate to yourself how you will respond to your circumstance.

The picture on the top left is from when we had to fill bags with sand and pack them under the stage for base absorption. It was hard work but what makes everything worth doing is that we do it for God and we do it with blood-bought members, so we can be relational while doing it.

The video on the right is from when we sorted out the outside storeroom and had some fun while doing it.

The picture on the bottom left is during one of our Google Classrooms where we are taught skills in all areas whether it is your comfort zone or not. Discomfort = Growth
