On this trip I took some time to think about who I can integrate with whom I don’t really ever have the change to. I had a few opportunities with new people such as Pat, Kate, Marnus, Tommy, Marelize and Lou where we could just share about some small things. But I would say that a moment that really stood out to me was with Thandeka. Even though we are in the same office space and have been on trips before we haven’t ever really talked much. On Tuesday night I had the opportunity to have some holy conversations with her about indoctrination and even about honour, and it really blessed me to get to know her after the spirit, and to just share what God was doing in me. It is really important to get out of your comfort zone when it comes to relationships and I continue to ask Holy Spirit to help me with that daily.
Just reflecting on the trip and the sessions we had there were a few things that really touched my heart. The first session with Pastor John he called upon a few people to share what God has changed in their lives and how He has saved them. Just hearing that again and how God took them moved my spirit and actually I was flooded with gratitude for God saving them but also for saving me.
Then with our last session Pastor John spoke about honour, and how before you can have honour you need to be honest with yourself and with God. That really shook me and I am still in the process of receiving the fulness of what that means. God will help me to be able to be honest and I look forward to what that will unlock. Lastly, when Brother Bill shared some of his soulwinning testimonies I got excited all over again, to go out and win some souls. But he said something very profound and I endeavour to get the full revelation of what he said, and that is: ‘If you want all of God, then you have to take all of God to the world.’ That is so powerful and I know God is going to have a great shift in me and change me so that I can take all fo Him to the world. Praise the Lord for the gift in Brother Bill. All in all, this trip was a great blessing and it just reinforced te mandate that God has given us. Go out and share the Good News with the world.
So on the 8th of October 2022 we had the privilege of going to diepsloot to minister the Gospel to some people with Brother Bill. I am not sure how many we were but around about 100 people. We prayed for 551 people on this day. The majority were salvations, others were rededications and the rest were prayers for health, finances, family etc.
Personally, I was a part of 20 people’s prayers. It was so wonderful to touch so many people and I just had a boldness that was supernatural. Praise the Lord for that! I first paired up with Melissa, Josh and Meagan but then we split up and it was just Meagan and I. I would have to say that there were two cases that really stood out to me in this day.
The first being – Ellen
At first when I saw her she looked quite serious and she was holding an umbrella. I decided to talk to her anyway. When I greeted her really friendly she already relaxed and was more open to conversation with me. I then asked her if she knows God loves her, she then replied: “Yes, because I woke up this morning.” That was wonderful to hear. I still confirmed that she accepted Jesus into her heart. We did a prayer of salvation and I also asked her if I could pray for anything else. She asked me to pray for her relationships and then I just ministered to her about how God is a God of relationships and not religion. I told her that if her relationship with God could get in order so could her other relationships. At this point she had closed her umbrella up and she started crying. She told me that she knew God sent me here today and she was so grateful. I just embraced her and it was so wonderful for me to be Jesus to her in that moment. I told her that she is a gift and that she should share her gift with the Body. This encounter was such a blessing and truly a big gift to me.
The second encounter was – Jack
He was a young man, around about 24 years old. He was actually trying to walk past us and then I jumped in front of him and introduced myself. I then asked him: “Do you know how much God loves you?” His reply was: “I haven’t heard that in a while, no.” Wow! God is good! I actually just started to speak some love into him and told him that I could see he has a gentle spirit. I shared some scriptures with him and then I asked him if he would like to get to know how much God loves him, and if I could pray with him. Praise the Lord, he said yes and he gave his heart to the Lord. I asked once again if I could pray for anything else and he specifically asked for peace. I had the privilege of sharing about how God is the God of peace, and then I blessed him, gave him a cross, and he went on his way. I could really see that God had touched him and that he really needed to hear that on this day.
This whole soul-winning/spirit-winning activation is so invigorating, spiritually speaking. I feel like: ‘Why haven’t I been doing this my whole life?’ Just seeing diepsloot and all those people I realised there are so many people in this world and so many are lost. I look forward to being used by Holy Spirit daily to share the life and love of God. Praise the Lord!
