OUTREACH
During our second-year bible school we completed a course called ‘Soulwinning’. In this course we learned a lot about what the heart of God is when it comes to the unsaved. This class made me realise how selfish I had been in my walk with the Lord. I had never shared Jesus with an unbeliever before and that had to change. Part of this class was going to the Witbank Hospital and witnessing the gospel to the unsaved. At this time our Sunday messages also spoke a lot into sharing the Gospel which only conveyed God’s desire for us to share the Good News even more.
Leading up to the Sunday of the outreach the excitment in my heart grew more and more and Brother Jerry’s Book, ‘Sharing Jesus effectively’, really helped me prepare myself. Sunday came and oh, my heart was just full of love. I was honoured to minister to three ladies alongside Danny and all three accepted Jesus into their hearts. It was trully eye-opening and it just made me aware of the importance of soulwinning.
What really marked me was the last lady we spoke to. She just needed to hear that God loved her, no matter what her past might be. It was such a blessing for me to be the vessel through which God could show her His love. This encounter really just activated me in this mandate to win people for God. I am so grateful that I can be the light to others, and be the bearer of the Good News. Now I endeavour to share Jesus with people more and more as my capacity increases. Praise the Lord!
