LOVE IN A TIME OF WAR
LOVE IN A TIME OF WAR
I don’t really know where to begin other than with the marching. If my memory serves me right we spent a week practicing marching in a straight line, at the same pace and in step. Physically it was actually very tiring but it was a very fun experience. There is something about marching that helps with discipline and it was quite wonderful to see the unity. We also spent some time recording the back-up vocals for ‘I hear a sound’, that was also extremely fun. Hearing the war cry and singing and shouting with it just really hyped up the spiritual experience for me.
Then after all that and doing run-through after run-through after run-through, everything became very serious. I think as we did the dress rehearsal everything became real and we all realised the seriousness of it all.
On the night of the production, God’s presence was so tangible. As we started marching in I saw myself going into war with my fellow members in Christ. The sound, the marching and just the atmosphere was very overwhelming. I look forward to continuing in the production and seeing how it touches the lives of many others.
